V’Cha Bakery: Hidden Gem Bakery
Did you know that inside housing alley in Surabaya, there is a good home bakery? They sell in front of their house. They made the breads at the terrace. Then, when you pass through the street, the smell will make people come.
It is V’Cha Bakery. This bakery is located at Jl. Gubeng Kertajaya V no. 26. Surabaya people called it ‘Gang Reog’. Unlike other bakeries that open in the morning, they open in the afternoon to evening, from 4 pm until drop.
Actually, there is nothing new with their variants of bread. They just imitate the taste that people already known. Most all the variants are copy from famous bakery. However, they make it on their own.
Affordably bread usually hard to swallow, less filling, and not really appetizing. V’cha is different. You can have a bun started from Rp 4000 and it looks like come out from mall not home bakery.
All the bread is soft, not stringy and full of filling. I like their mocha bread which is like a variant from famous branded bakery. You can choose from chocolate, cheese, sausages, and others.
They also have nostalgic bread, roti sisir moka. It is a soft bread with much butters adding with chocolate sprinkle. It reminds me the taste of my childhood. For Indonesian, roti sisir is the comfort food where always there at the family gathering, coffee or tea snacks, or just school supplies.
Of course, there is a different taste compared to premium bakery because of the ingredients. However, it is the best bread on their class, under 10K bread.
Ps. It is an healthy snack for my family.
