Who doesn’t like ramen? This originated noodle from Japan is become one of favorite dish in Indonesia. Formerly, if you want to eat ramen, you must pay much. Nowadays you can find ramen sellers from high end to street food.

I and my family like ramen. When we find out that near our home there is an affordable ramen, we rush to try. It is Rasa Ramen which is located at Jl. Gubeng Kertajaya V Raya no. 5 Surabaya.

The place is quite small with green, brown, and white color. There are pictures of Japanese art on the walls. It strengthens the feeling of Japan. The table is wooden made. I like how they arrange the interior. Small, neat, and catchy!

They sell ramen with various broth, like tantan, miso, shoyu, curry, or dry miso. We can choose topping, from egg, chicken katsu, beef teriyaki, or ebi furai (fried shrimp). Their special menu is ramen lobster. How come the affordable ramen provide ramen lobster? And it is under Rp 50,000. Wow!  

If you like to eat big portion, choose jumbo size rather than normal. You’ll be satisfied. Beside ramen, they also provide snack like dimsum, corn dog, gyoza, sushi, and kimbab. All is started from Rp 10.000.

Since, I came with my family, we can order many and differently. I try tantan, miso, shoyu, with topping of egg, teriyaki beef, chicken katsu, and sushi mentai for the snack. Everything is good.

However, I have my own favorite combination. It is ramen shoyu with teriyaki beef. Super delicious! I think we should try other snacks if we came here again because the sushi is not my taste.
