• Neng Katineung

If you want affordable Sundanese Restaurant, you should go to Neng Katineung. They are famous with sate maranggi and ayam bakar (grilled chicken). There are also some branches for Neung Katineung at Purwakarta and Cimahi, Bandung. I like go to Neng Katineung at Jl. Industri No.180, Maracang, Purwakarta because it nears my house.

At first, I was doubt, because from outside this restaurant was unconvincing. A little bit messy outside, but wait until you see inside. There are some sitting areas which made from wood, so that feel homey. There is a semi outdoor area for lesehan. I like to sit here. We also can eat at the garden under the big tree with lamp and sound of birds. So relaxing!

I came with my family. We ordered grilled gurami, fried chicken for my daughter, sate maranggi, mushroom and tofu pepes. Gurami was big, sweet, smoky, and did not smell rancid (it is the most important). Pepes and chicken was also good.

My most favorite was sate maranggi. It was soft, spicy, and delicious. I choose all meat without fat. Mostly, sate maranggi is full of fat, but in here it was not. Although, you can choose meat and fat in the sate. A portion of sate maranggi full meat is only Rp 30.000 (at 2024).

• Alam Sari

Sometimes you want to chill at restaurant. Not only satisfy your tummy, but also your eyes. You can come at Alam Sari. It is Sundanese Restaurant at Purwakarta, Bekasi, Cikampek, Karawang. I know this restaurant is also coincidence.

When we visit our family in Karawang, they invited us to eat at Sundanese Restaurant. It was Alam Sari which located at Jl. Bharata Raya No.88, Wadas, Telukjambe Timur, Karawang.

From outside I just feel good of this restaurant. My feeling was right. This restaurant was so big. There were many sitting areas. There were lesehan, sitting table, or you just sit beside the pond. There was a big pond full of fish. You can sit nearby pond and give food for the fish.

My children liked to see the little fish in the little pond. Many interesting spots for taking picture of video. There was also a playground area with big slide and swing. The wide-open space really made my children happy. They were free to walk and run away.

The menu was also complete. Not only Sundanese, but also Chinese food. Actually, I am not sure what we ordered because my cousin who was ordered. On our table there were fried chicken, grilled gurami, mushroom and tofu pepes, nasi liwet. And nothing was failed.

If you like to eat and chill, Alam Sari could be a choice!
