Do you have a café or restaurant that can called your second home? You will go there anytime you need time for work, me time, or just enjoying the food. The important is the location must be near our house.

I always have one wherever my house is. I had already moved house for more than five times. On each place, I always look for one café or restaurant for my second home as my comfort zone.

In Purwakarta, I and my family, like to go The Sunday Café Purwakarta. It was located in Jl. Jenderal Soedirman 124, at city center.

At first, I like to come because of the name, Sunday café. Later, I found out that the owner wants to instill enthusiasm spirit that people always feel on Sunday. They always happy on Sunday because it is time to break from work or school. Therefore, if you need to relax, come to Sunday café.

It is small, intimate, and feels like home. Mostly wooden interior with some unique chairs and table. At the corner you can see a big television which showing films or sports matches. I had seen Godzilla v Kong: The New Empire, another time I saw a Ghibli movie, Spirited Away. The other time I saw boxing time. Yes, many times, I came here.

A good cafe is nothing without delicious food. We can order from snacks, drinks, ice cream, until main course. Our favorite is the dim sum. There are many various dim sums from fried until steam. I like steam chicken and nori dim sum. My daughter loves their toast. She always orders cheese and chocolate toast. The big bread toast covered with many chocolates and cheese.

In other hand, my son loves their spaghetti carbonara and chicken wings. If you hungry, you can try Sunday fried rice, black fried rice from squid ink with eggs and seafood. It is my husband favorite. My personal favorite is curry cow tongue rice bowl. The tongue is really tender doused with Japanese curry sauce completed with slices of carrot and potato. Heaven!

For the drinks you can try various milkshake, coffee, tea, chocolate, yoghurt, smoothies and ice cream. I like their smoothies, especially strawberry yoghurt and banana berry.

Don’t worry with the price. Range from Rp 15.000-50.000 for each menu. Sometimes they have student promo. For students who can show their ID, they will get special price.

Later I know, this café has established almost ten years. At the first time, they only sold various cakes and drinks without main course. Then, they developed their menu with main course. Nowadays, they do not sell cakes again. It proves that they follow the trend and what customers wants. No wonder they still exist.
