Actually my first reason to put Singapore as one of my backpacker destination was Universal Studios Singapore (USS). I really love theme park. When I was a child, it was rare that my parents could bring me to theme park. Even the simple want like pasar malam (night market). But, if I had a chance to visit it, I felt so happy.

My first experience visited theme park was in Dunia Fantasi, Jakarta when I was Senior High School. Since that, I fell in love with roller coaster. I was so addicted. Later, I found out that USS has more than one roller coaster. WOW, it was a dream came true.

We dedicated the whole day to USS. We woke up early in the morning, so that we will not miss anything. We already bought the ticket online. It was cheaper and we did not need to queue in the locket.

From my hostel in China Town, we took MRT to Harbour Front station. We went to Vivo City Mall. There were many options to go Sentosa Island from there. You can choose cable car, monorail, bus, or walk. Actually I wanted to choose cable car, but it was expensive. Therefore, we used monorail.

From here, the line was a bit full. I thought it will be like this in USS. That was why, do not forget to bring a bottle for drink. You do not have to bring the big one, because you can refill in free dispensers in many spots in USS.

My thought was right. When we entered USS, there were already many visitors. I was amazed to see the street and souvenir shops of characters in USS. There were many spots to take pictures. Hahaha.

Oke, we need to focus. Because there were many attractions, we should be smart to make an order or options. It was better if you already had a plan before entering USS. The area was quite bigger and there will be a long line in every game. Therefore, consider your time.

USS has some zones to define the theme, such as Far Far Away, Sci-Fi, Ancient Egypt. Because my purpose was roller coaster, I was concentrate in last two zones.

I was so curious with Battlestar Galactica roller coaster in Sci-Fi zone. It was two roller coasters in one area, the blue and red chair. Both of them was side by side, but only one of them was more terrified than another. Can you guess which one is it?

Fortunately, the line was not really full, so that we can try them a quite quickly. Wow, amazing! Although, I was wrong to choose the terrified one for first ride. Therefore when I ride the second, my adrenaline was turning down. It was still worth to try, but you better knew which one was more terrified to decide the first ride.

In this zone, do not miss Transformer attraction. Since my friend was addicted to Transformer, we tried it early. USS has the 3D battle of it. Do not ask the line. It was so so so long. You should be smart to spend your waiting time to not get bored. We talked and took many pictures. Alhamdulillah, the attraction was awesome. I felt like I was inside the movie and be part of it.

My personal favourite was The Revenge of the Mummy in the Ancient Egypt zone. It was also a roller coaster, but we did it in the dark. Can you imagine we moved extremely, but we can not see anything? It was like we were in a big dark cave and met mummies. Scary, but addicted!

Of course not only extreme roller coaster in USS. It was also a roller coaster for children in Jurassic Park area. Besides that, there were many parades, cute characters and celebrities being alive, fairy tales, unique cars, dances, live action movie performance, and something like that.

However, USS was suitable for roller coaster junkie like me.
