Part 3 Karimunjawa: Snorkeling ALL the Time!

In the morning, I wake up early from one of my best sleep. We were excited to go. We were gathered at the beach. There were three boats which had already waited us with some our crew tour guide. This group consisted about 20 people from different places. One boat consisted about 7-8 people. We were one grup with some ladies from Jakarta. They were older from us but looked really fun.

We were ready to snorkel. Yey! Karimunjawa was a group of big and little island. Some of them were unpopulated. We stayed in the Karimunjawa island, the biggest one. Actually I did not remember the name of the other islands we came. I think we went to Menjangan Besar, Menjangan kecil, Cemara Besar, Cemara Kecil, and Gosong island.

First, we snorkel in the middle of the sea. Do not worry, it was not deep, just about 5 metres. If it was more than 5 metres, we should dive not snorkel. We should wear snorkel equipments, google, jacket life, and shark fin. They were provided for us. if you can swim well, you can skip the life jacket.

Fortunately, it was not my first time. I thought I got used to snorkel. However, if it was your first time, one of the crew will guide you. The crew also brought some bread. Gave the bread to the fish, they will gather around you. So funny! I can swim with a group of fish. I can touch their body. It was so slippery.

We snorkel at some moment. Before we went into the water, the crew reminded us not to swim far because we were in the middle of the sea. We might get lost. It was better to snorkel with some friends, not alone. Okey, we will obey it.

After we satisfy with this spot, we moved to another area and snorkel again. Hahaha. The view undersea was breath taking. Not only fish, but we can see wonderful coral reefs. However, do not touch the coral reefs. Even it was cute, but they can die if you touch it and took decades to grow it again. Please, becareful on your step and what you were touched.

The sun was on our head. It was hot and we were hungry. Then, we stopped in an island. I forgot the name, but I remember the appearance. Many coconut trees in the edge. The sand was so white and smooth like flour. It was comfortable when I took off my sandals.

We were gathered in a big wood house. There were our lunch. Many big grilled fish and other menus. My eyes only in the fish. It was one of my favorite dish. Without waiting longer, we ate. It was marvelous eating grilled fish on the leaves with warm rice, while we sat on the beach. Yummy! All of us was satisfied with the food.

Is it over? Of course not! We still continued our journey. We will stop by at Gosong island. Gosong meant burnt. It was a sand dunes in the sea. When tide, it was gone. We stopped by and sun bathing until burnt because no place to hide from the sun. Perhaps it was called Gosong island. I was pretended that it was my own island and I was stranded.

Finally we got home in the afternoon. I just remembered that we only had one bathroom for five people. Therefore, I went rush to my house. I wanted first to take a bath. Yey! Mission accomplished! My other room mates were not home yet.

After we took a bath, we decided to walk around the village. We wanted to have dinner at village square. There were many food vendors, especially seafood. We chose the big and fresh grilled fish. What can beat grilled fresh fish on the beach and starry night. Wonderful! No wonder we slept like a baby in the night.
