I am actually from the city Daegu in Republic of Korea. I love to stay there because it's not fully city, but not fully country side. Actually it's city, but you still can feel nature from there. 

In downtown of Daegu, there's some secret place which is Alleys. 

I have visited there with my old friend one time and he kindly introduced the place. Though I'm Korean, but I felt that I need to know more about my country. 

It was very quiet at night, so it's good place to think alone. 

There's some city tour bus in Daegu, so you actually can go there by walk or bus.
