It is rarely we stay only in a hotel more than two days without going anywhere. Mostly we stay in a hotel just for sleeping and eating breakfast. However, I and my two children, 8 and 6 years old, stay 3-days-2-nights just in a hotel. And they did not feel bore. How come?

It was because we stay in 5G Resort where my husband had an annual meeting. He asked us to come with him staying in 5G Resort. Actually, I am not sure. Because the location was in the middle of nowhere. There was no tourist destination or mall near it. It is located in Jalan Kolonel Bustomi, Cijeruk, Bogor. It was only an hour from Jakarta and two hours from Purwakarta, our home.

However, my husband convinced us to stay in a resort. He said we will be okay just in a resort. Just pack a swimsuit because there was a swimming pool, he said.

Ok, I trust him. I still doubt about the food, so that I bring many snacks and fruit from home because the cold weather makes us hungrier. I think it will be cold because near mountains and we went on November where mostly every day is raining.

My prediction was accurate. We go around noon by car from Purwakarta and it was raining from the toll. Our car should walk slowly because some streets were heavy rain. The road to the resort was winding like a mountain road.

Finally, we arrived at 5G resort and still rained. We stay in a standard room on the third floor. It was for 4 people. There was twin bed in the room and under each bed, there was a pull-out bed again. So that, there were 4 beds. The room was quite spacious and had a balcony. There were 2 chairs and a table at the balcony and we can see Salak mountain as the view. Marvelous!

Because of the rain, we just ordered some food for dinner from delivery online food. Then, we slept. We turn off the air conditioning because the weather had already cold.

In the morning, we went around the resort. We walked to the Halimun Resto and saw the pool. The kids cannot wait to swim, but it was too early. Breakfast has not ready yet! Therefore, we walk again.

Near the resto on the first floor, we found a mini zoo. We saw roster, hen, monkeys, fish, birds, rabbits, even crocodile. Although, I am a bit sad to see the cage of crocodile. It was too small, so that he cannot move freely.

We also see a basketball court, fishing pound, and a wide field. I heard that this field was for an outdoor activity, such as outbound or paint ball arena. Beside that, there were also table tennis and billiard. It was the first time my kids trying table tennis. We quiet enjoy it.

We walked again and found a rice field and a little river behind the cottage. There are two kinds of room in this resort. A standard room, like our room, and a cottage.

A cottage consists of three bedrooms, a kitchen, dining room, and a terrace. You also can park your car in front of the cottage. This was where my husband had a meeting.

Then we eat breakfast. Each standard room had two breakfast pax. We got fried rice, noodle, chicken, and egg in a plate. However, we can have buffet of fruit, white bread, cereal, milk, coffee, and tea. My kids did not complain because they like cereal and white bread.

After that, we swim. The water was clear light green. There was a kid and adult’s pool. The adult’s pool was around 150 cm. I still can stand without sinking. There was no swimming pool guard. Thus, we should watch our kids if they want to swim in the adult.

The water was cold, but did not hurt my eyes even I swim without google. It was relaxing swimming with mountain view. We came in the weekdays, so it just us. It was like a private pool.

Near the swimming pool, there was a playground for kids. There were some swings, slide, and see saw. Of course, kids played here. My husband was right. We will have fun even just staying in this resort. There were so many activities we can do in this resort. If we hungry, we can order some food from the resto or delivery online food.

If we tired going around, we just stay at our room, watching tv and playing cards. My favorite thing to do was reading in the balcony with the mountain view. There were many chairs and sofa around corner. Therefore, we can sit, chill, and daydreaming. What a slow living that I love.
